Better Schools for Our Children

Working with the Mins Laor Government, we're delivering better schools and more teachers to give our kids the world class education they deserve, right where the live. We are building more classrooms, hiring more teachers and lifting student outcomes across Bankstown. 

New co-located public preschools are being built at local public schools including Chullora Public Schools and Yagoona Public School. These public schools will help bring down costs for families, improve access to early educations and give our kids the best start in life. 

More Teachers for Our Children

The former Liberal National Government's unfair wages cap and neglect of public education, left teacher vacancies at an all-time high, resulting in 10,000 merged and cancelled classes across NSW every day. 

When the Labor Government was elected, rebuilding our education system was a top priority. In just two and a half years, we’ve delivered the largest teacher pay rise in a generation, cut teacher vacancies by 70%, and nearly halved merged and cancelled classes — ensuring students spend more time learning and receiving individual support.
